SCREENVISION STRENGTHENS WEST COAST FOOTPRINT WITH KRIKORIAN PREMIERE THEATRES AGREEMENT

New York, N.Y., October 4, 2012Screenvision, a national leader in cinema advertising sales, services and content distribution, has signed an agreement with West Coast exhibitor partner, Krikorian Premiere Theatres, one of the world’s grandest theatrical exhibition companies. Krikorian has seven locations with all 89 screens in the Los Angeles DMA (#2) and one 15-plex in the San Diego DMA (#28). This comes on the heels of Screenvision’s long term partnership with Pacific Theatres, further expanding Screenvision’s digital footprint in Los Angeles.

Based in Torrance, CA, Krikorian Premiere Theatres was founded in 1984 by George Krikorian. By 1996 he had built a successful movie chain of nearly 100 screens in Southern California which he sold to Regal Cinemas, and then immediately began building a new circuit of theatres. All of the new complexes have stadium seating, large auditoriums and master craftsman finishing touches, as well as 100% digital auditoriums, resulting in true architectural grandeur of the old Hollywood movie palace.

Screenvision has been exhibiting up to four minutes of advertising time with Krikorian Premiere Theatres. Under the renewed deal, Screenvision will have exclusive selling rights of the on-screen pre-show for the first time and will pick up an additional 18 minutes of inventory. Screenvision will install their satellite-delivery digital system no later than January 3, 2013.

“Screenvision is very excited to renew its agreement with Krikorian Premiere Theatres and further strengthen its footprint in the Los Angeles market,” said Darryl Schaffer, Executive Vice President, Operations and Exhibitor Relations, Screenvision. “Krikorian locations are justifiably highly attended theatres that aim to provide the best possible movie going experience.”

“We are happy to be extending this important and long-running relationship with Screenvision for 10 years,” states Todd Cummings, Chief Operating Officer of Krikorian Premiere Theaters. “Their recently re-engineered in-cinema advertising pre-show, The Limelight, entertains and engages our customers, and offers marketers, both national and local, a great way to target consumers.”
