OAAA STAR Showcase

Over 650 people attended the OAAA STAR Showcase on September 26, 2007 at the Jacob K. Javits Center. The OAAA STAR Showcase allowed the industry to highlight new and innovative products and services being offered by out of home today. Over 50 exhibitors offered a unique look at the inventive technologies that are transforming advertising in a cityscape setting using the out of home medium.

Screenvision’s 20’ x 20’ movie theatre themed booth showcased the multifaceted opportunities that we offer advertisers to reach a quality audience. Movie theatre seats were placed in front of plasma screens that highlighted clips of long form content segments, product integration, branded entertainment and preshow sponsorships. Promotions such as standees, popcorn bags, box office handouts were strategically placed throughout the booth enabling attendees to experience the extensive exposure that Screenvision can give to advertisers. Attendees were also treated to movie candy, popcorn and soda.

Sci Fi’s “Yellow Brick Road” Premiere

Sci Fi Channel partnered exclusively with Screenvision for cinema advertising to promote Tin Man, a three-part miniseries, which premiered on television on December 1, 2007. Tin Man’s three-night primetime run received the network’s highest ratings ever, delivering an average of 5.3 million viewers per night, making it the most-watched miniseries event in Sci Fi history.

Part of the buy included Screenvision to sponsor the Los Angeles “yellow brick road” carpet premiere, which took place at The Dome on November 27, 2007. Over 300 people attended the event, including cast, crew, press, clients and staff. Part one of the miniseries was screened and followed by a lavish Oz-themed after party at ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas.

Tin Man is a mesmerizing re-imagined take on L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and gives the story a psychedelic twist while only providing allusionary references to the original fantasy.
