Screenvision and Mann Theatres Enter Into Exclusive Cinema Advertising Partnership

NEW YORK - (Oct. 25, 2004)

Screenvision, the world leader in cinema advertising and a joint venture of Thomson (Euronext: 18453) (NYSE: TMS) and ITV plc (FTSE: ITV), today announced an exclusive partnership with Mann Theatres for cinema advertising for their 123 locations in the greater Los Angeles area. The agreement solidifies Screenvision’s position in the nation’s second largest DMA, increasing its market share there to 36% and increasing its overall nationwide market share to 56% of theatre screens.

Mann Theatres is a prestigious circuit whose primary area of operation is Los Angeles. Mann has a total of 130 screens, with 123 located in Los Angeles and seven in San Diego. Its theatres include the legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, The Village, Bruin and National, which are all known for their state-of-the-art presentation and high-profile events.

Screenvision offers advertisers a distraction free, attentive environment for their marketing message. As part of the agreement with Mann, Screenvision will provide advertisers with the ability to deliver their brand messages on-screen throughout the pre-show using both analog and digital projection systems. Additionally, Screenvision will offer in-theatre customizable promotions at concession stand, lobby or box office real estate. These cinema marketing extensions enable advertisers to create integrated marketing packages that immerse their target audience in the brand’s experience from the time they enter the theatre to the time they leave. With an ever increasing array of media choices, Screenvision allows advertisers to capitalize on cinema as a powerful and measurable ad medium.
